Server Management
ISTM offers server management services. Server mangement encompasses providing hardware and operating system specifications, configuring hardware and operating system, securing hardware and operating system, ensuring availability of the system, and providing data recovery. This includes tasks such as installation, permissions authorization audit trail, patching, server monitoring, and backups.
Data Management encompasses processes and the technology that support the creation of data standards, the availability of data to authorized entities, the protection of data from unauthorized (accidental or intentional) modification, destruction, or disclosure, and the storage of data. ISTM offers data management services by facilitating school-wide standards, ensuring security best-practices are followed, and offering SQL Server solutions for data storage.
ISTM works with the university's telecommunications divisions to ensure the network architecture fully supports the needs of the school. We partner with UITS to facilitate a network design and support process that meets the school's strategy of providing access to appropriate information through seamless and integrated mechanism regardless of venue or geographic location.
